Lourdes

On Wednesday, 14 young pilgrims from Southampton, 10 from 3 Rivers, 5 from Hampshire Downs and 4 from the North of the Diocese set of for Lourdes on what promises to be a Pilgrimage of a lifetime.

Matthew McFadden an experienced Pilgrimage leader and Youth Involvement Coordinator for the Southampton Area Youth Involvement Trust (SAYIT), will be taking our young people to Lourdes.

The Pilgrimage has a 2 fold aim to let young people experience Lourdes(on this Jubilee Year, 150 years since the apparitions) and celebrate World Youth Week with other young people from other areas and countries.

Our Spiritual Leader is Fr. PJ Smith from the City Centre parish in Southampton, he has been to Lourdes many times and is a regular attendee of the HCPT pilgrimage at Easter.
